MDOT Road Sample Plans
The updated MDOT Road Sample Plans are now available on the web for Consultants (http://www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,4616,7-151-9625_21540_36037-171026--,00.html) and in ProjectWise for MDOT personnel (Sample Plans). This current set (MDOT_Sample_Plans_Road_2013-02-04.pdf) replaces any previously released road sample plans or CAD standards. MDOT intends to add to this set as necessary and release updates as needed. Included in the next steps of sample plan sheet additions are:

- Survey information sheet
- Project Information Sheet
- Note Sheet
- Miscellaneous Estimate Sheet
- Non-freeway alignment sheet with side roads
- Ramp alignment sheet
- Removal and construction sheet for two-lane/two-way road
- Design Cross-Sections (label top of curb)
- Guardrail Detail Sheet
- Profile Sheet - Show how station equations and large vertical shifts would be shown on a profile
- Stacked Removal/Construction Sheet and stacked Construction/Profile Sheet
- Miscellaneous Detail for ramp quantity breakouts
- 2. Typical Section Sheet Additions
- Show example with dependent ditch
- Show half sections for guardrail or specific shoulder sections
- Add crush & shape example
